Appliance Repair FAQs
Do you have questions about appliance repair? We answer a few common questions about our home appliance repair services, the process, and customer expectations.
Do you do same-day home appliance repairs?
We will try our best to service you as soon as a technician is available, and if possible, we will visit your home to provide same day appliance repair. Please provide us with your zip code so we can schedule you sooner and solve the appliance issue more quickly and efficiently.
When will a technician arrive at my home?
Our technicians operate in a time window with a “call ahead” notice. We apologize and understand that a time window may be viewed as inconvenient, though technician’s routes and calls are usually planned a day, sometimes two, in advance.
We try to leave enough time to accommodate every customer in case they decide to repair their unit that day, if they want a secondary appliance looked at, or if an emergency occurs. We also try to factor in travel time and traffic. Our Boston appliance repair technicians generally call 15 to 30 minutes in advance to let you know they are on the way.
When should I get a new appliance instead of calling for a repair?
If you’re deciding whether or not to buy a new appliance instead of repairing your existing one, we recommend applying the “fifty percent rule”. If your appliance is more than 50% of its lifespan, or the repair costs will be more than 50% of what replacing with a new appliance would be, then we recommend replacing the appliance. It's important to note, there are several considerations that may factor into your final decision, including your specific needs or circumstances, and your home appliance's overall condition.
