Hi, and thanks for taking some time to visit the Pete’s Appliances blog! In our inaugural post, we’ll be covering something simple — us! Today we’re going to spend some time giving you some information about our company: why we do what we do, and what exactly it is that we provide the Boston Area.
If you’re here because you have an appliance that’s malfunctioning, you’re in the right place! Reach out to us if you’re in need of our services, especially if it’s an emergency!
And for the rest of you, keep reading to learn everything you want to know about Pete’s Appliances.
Who We Are
Pete’s appliances was started by, you guessed it, Pete! We’ve been a proud Boston company since our start, and we’re still dedicated to helping our community. In regard to how it started, the story is pretty simple.
Pete began selling appliances, and he did that for some time. However, as he worked in appliance sales, he kept noticing that people were constantly in need of fast, effective, and reliable residential appliance repair services.
At that point, he began using his experience selling appliances to start fixing them. Learning from other repairmen with decades of experience, he caught on quickly, went to Ohio to get his EPA certification for refrigeration, and became an appliance repair expert. The rest is history!
Now, Pete owns Pete’s Appliances and provides the best residential appliance repair services to the Boston area! That being said, it’s important to note that we don’t service East Boston. Here are the Boston areas we’ll quickly and professionally service:
- Quincy
- Braintree
- Milton
- Newton
- Brookline
Now that we’ve talked about who we are as a company, let’s discuss what exactly it is that we do.
What We Do
As you can probably tell at this point, the services we offer revolve around the repair and servicing of residential appliances. In short, if you ever have any appliance in your home that isn’t working as it’s supposed to—maybe it’s a dishwasher that won’t drain or a stovetop range that won’t heat evenly—we’re the ones to call. We have a vast amount of experience repairing all types and all brands of residential appliances. But since you’re here, let’s take a look into the specifics.
Oven Repair
The last thing any of us need when we’re navigating our busy lives is to get home and start dinner, but when you go to use your oven or stovetop, it simply doesn’t work. Not only does this derail your night, but it also means that you either need to troubleshoot the problem so you can eat dinner, or you have to pick up some food.
Rather than wasting time watching YouTube tutorials and Googling potential solutions, pick up the phone and call Pete! Pete’s Appliances can fix Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag, and LG appliances with the following problems:
- Unresponsive range burners (electric stoves)
- Unresponsive gas burners (gas stoves)
- Failure to heat (oven or stovetop)
- Inconsistent temperatures
- Burned out interior light
- Oven door sealing failure
Don’t see you problem on this list? Don’t worry, give us a call anyway. We’ll be able to find a way to get it fixed.
Refrigerator And Freezer Repair
In the same vein, a malfunctioning freezer or refrigerator can cause serious problems in your daily life. First, if your food spoils, you’re going to need to find an alternative meal. Secondly, if your food spoils, that means your going to be out potentially hundreds of dollars. And finally, a malfunctioning freezer or refrigerator could result in illness if the spoiled food gets eaten.
Fortunately, at Pete’s Appliances, we’re also experts at refrigerator and freezer repair. If you’re dealing with a faulty freezer or refrigerator now or in the future, give us a call. We’ll take care of Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag, and LG appliances with the following issues:

Washer And Dryer Repair
We’ve all been there: you pull out a load of laundry and it’s wet, smells funky, or it’s covered in gunk. No matter what the issue is, it’s frustrating.
If you find yourself in a situation where your washer or drying is working properly, we can help. Like our other services, we can take care of Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag, and LG appliances, and can fix the following issues:
- Water leaks

- Drainage failure
- Spin/agitation failure
- Abnormal noise, shaking, and moving

Dishwasher Repair
When it comes to the things we eat off of, we want to know that they’re clean. No one wants dried, leftover food stuck to a plate, or in more extreme situations, residual raw-meat contaminating their meals. If your Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag, or LG appliance is doing any of the following, call us today to get it worked out:
- Dishes that aren’t getting clean
- Doors that don’t latch
